M-PLOY - YEJJ CAREERS & EMPLOYMENT DEPARTMENT

To provide continuity between training and the workplace we are forming an Careers Department within Yejj to assist the students with work placements and employment.

Graduating students and also those from a wider pool will be registered on a database and matched to employers requirements.

M-Ploy will be a point of contact for people, NGOs, companies, restaurants, etc, to recruit new staff. The benefit to potential employers is that they will know that the person has received a high quality of training.

There will also be assistance for students in soft skills (interpersonal & interview skills, communication, etc) to help them in gaining and working in their new employment.

Capital seed funding is still required for this. If you are a donor and would like to know more details, please contact us on m-ploy@yejjtraining.org

Continuing to build on existing Yejj core goals of social impact and change through training and employment for disadvantaged young people, Yejj will operate a careers and recruitment agency to provide opportunities for access to employment for 300+ Yejj graduates and other young people per year.

M-Ploy, the careers and employment department of Yejj, will become the central hub and conduit for facilitating soft skills, job opportunities, career development and employment, providing access to good employment and building careers. In addition to Yejj students and graduates, the department will serve students and young people from shelters, orphanages, universities, churches, NGO programs, etc.

Services and skills provided at M-Ploy:

  • careers advice
  • soft skills training (writing a CV, interview skills, working in a team, communication, attitudes, etc)
  • work placements, internships
  • employment

The department will pro-actively research and identify vacancies and skills requirements of employers in key business sectors and aim to match these up to our young peoples’ profiles/CV’s.

M-Ploy Model

There will be assistance for students in soft skills (interpersonal & interview skills, communication, etc) to help them in gaining and working in their new employment. Graduating students and also those from a wider pool will be registered on a database and matched to employers requirements.

M-Ploy will be a point of contact for people, NGOs, companies, restaurants, etc, to recruit new staff. The benefit to employers is that they will know that the person they employ has received high quality training in both technical and soft skills.

Sustainability will be met by charging employers a fee when they fill a vacancy in their organisation.

Capital seed funding is still required for this. If you are a donor and would like to know more details, please contact us on m-ploy@yejjtraining.org
