Our Vision
To Impact and Strengthen The Social Situation In Cambodia Through High Quality
Training And Successful Christian Social Enterprise.
Yejj Aims
Our aims at Yejj are to create economic opportunities through training and employment, for those from disadvantaged backgrounds, using innovative models that have social impact that are sustainable and replicable in the long term.
Yejj was established in 2001 as a response to the need to provide high quality services and products to clients, combed with training, capacity development and employment to underprivileged young people in Cambodia.
The Yejj Social Enterprise model, combines the best of business, NGO & Christian principles, creating sustainable, social impact in the long term.
Social Enterprise emphasises using revenue and profits from business activities for impacting the community as well as increasing our abilities as individuals and a team at all levels in Yejj.
These values promote the goals, as individuals and a team, of being rewarded for our hard work, effectiveness
and efficiency. We aim to work in partnerships with other agencies where prevention or reintegration training
and employment initiatives benefit recipients, especially females.
In order to realise this vision of Social Enterprise,
Yejj Centres our Principles and Beliefs on these Core Values:
Integrity
Integrity - the primary value that Yejj embraces. It is the way we as individuals and an organisation conduct ourselves - with all stakeholders; employees, clients, suppliers and partners. Integrity encompasses honesty, trustworthiness, dedication and responsibility. It is the giving of our best and carrying with us the name of Christian business people as an honest and trustworthy group that conducts its business in a fair and transparent manner.
Commitment
Commitment is the determination and energy to succeed, to complete all tasks with dedication and always striving to achieve excellent and sustained results. It is also the drive to face all tough challenges by staying focused, with resilience, passion and reliance on God. Commitment is the energy and enthusiasm that positively drives against seemingly impossible odds to achieve extraordinary results. Commitment means going that extra mile and maintaining a steady course to reach the goal which we have set ourselves to do.
Compassion
Compassion is a quality that we as individuals display when we feel for each other, having a sense of respect for each other as human beings.
In our desire to succeed as individuals and organisations, we will fail to bring value to others unless we empathise and support others in need. We are all inter-dependent individuals making up an organization that can express compassion, being able to listen and be heard. A true act of compassion must come as a direct gift from those individuals. Compassion is not only about using company money to do charitable work. It is all of us contributing directly back to our fellow persons, whether
colleagues or others in the community. Compassion is demonstrated when we show care for others, rally around to solve any problem and actively help others with our time, energy and money.
Courage
Courage is to take the future into our hands, to attempt the apparently impossible or step into the unknown and to contribute to that small bit of change for the better. Courage is the seed for creation and progress.
Courage involves the need for wisdom, faith and guidance from God and is balanced with compassion. Courage overcomes the fear of change, promoting initiative, innovation and creativity.
Courage is the ability to look at issues and at ourselves objectively, to face, accept and take responsibility for our failures as individuals and collectively, and to learn from the mistakes we made and then to forge ahead with commitment to mould ourselves and change. It is also the ability to take up challenges of difficult tasks and to seize opportunities when available - in favourable or unfavourable circumstances.
Worth
Every person at whatever point or level in life has worth in God and value and dignity as part of the human race.
Self worth comes through a pride and significance in who we are and what we do, whatever we do. It is a process of continuous improvement, looking at small details, coming up with ways to improve all we do.
Collective worth is when ordinary individuals work together with a team mindset to see extraordinary results being achieved.
Worth promotes the principles of value and significance, which are the attitudes we carry in everything we do. It is about working smart and hard to consistently bring value to others, each time more so and better than the last time.
As individuals, as companies, and as communities, we must bring value and significance to what we do, not just once, but consistently. It is part of the quest to enhance quality of life through consistent thought and application of effort. As individuals we may be good, but with teamwork we can multiply the value and significance we bring.
With These Core Values, We Can Attempt And Achieve Great Things Together.
